Shauna and Terry came in from Kansas for their beautiful wedding in Vail. I had a great time months prior doing their engagement photos, so I knew the wedding would be wonderful. Here are some of the shots from their wedding at the Donovan Pavilion:
Rowya and Tozz had a beautiful wedding at Columbine Country Club. I had a blast photographing this wedding as they are a very fun couple. Here is a small sample of the wedding photos:
Tricia and Dave had an absolutely beautiful wedding in Beaver Creek, Colorado. We started with some shots at the Beaver Creek Lodge where Tricia was getting ready. We then went on over to the golf course for some scenic photos.
Along the golf course they have some old wood shacks. The Aspens and wood of this shack made for a nice contrast to Tricia in her beautiful dress:
Dave and the guys:
Next we went off to the chapel. I followed Tricia and the girls to get some shots as they walked:
I love this shot of Tricia coming up the stairs just before walking down the isle:
Here is a shot from Kevin, who was my 2nd photographer for the day. The nice thing about having a second photographer at weddings is being able to get multiple angles for key moments:
Thanks Tricia and Dave! It was a beautiful wedding!
Erin and Taylor had a beautiful wedding at The Grange in Castle Rock, Colorado. Here are some of my favorite photos from their day.
We started off with some formals at the house:
The photo above is a very traditional and formal shot. Normally I’m drawn to very unique and creative images, but in this case I love the look of this image with Erin framed by the archway. And now a couple shots from the wedding. I love the smiles and absolute happiness in this one:
And perhaps my favorite of all is getting the emotion always evident right after the ceremony.
I am pleased to announce that I am hosting a free bridal show at the studio on May 4, 2008 from 12:00 to 4:00pm. You can visit the following page for full details and online registration: www.fenbers.net/bridalshow
A friend and I recently photographed Denee and Malachi at City Park in Denver for a wedding portrait session. We got some great shots for them. Here’s a taste of the chic and intimate session:
Kourtney and Justin were married at Mt. Vernon Country Club in Golden, Colorado. I photographed the rehearsal dinner the evening prior to the wedding. It is always fun seeing families and friends coming together from out of state. The emotion and excitement is always more than apparent. Everyone was clearly having a good time.
Here are some of the photographs from their wedding:
Deviree and Dan had incredible wedding at Keystone Ranch in Colorado. It is amazing how often the weather changes for the better at a wedding. We started off with a light rain and cloud-filled sky just moments before the wedding. We ended the ceremony with a beautiful Sunset and parting clouds.
Here’s a couple shots as the sun set and put the warm color against the yellow Aspens, it made for a stunning backdrop.
The band Vanilla Pop was awesome! And they know how to dress too!
Okay, I could go on forever with the pictures. Instead, here’s the highlight slideshow:
Here’s a few shots from Jade and Randy’s recent wedding at the Crystal Rose in Littleton, Colorado. They had a beautiful wedding and quite the fun reception with the dance floor being packed right up to their departure.
I love the white suit and white gown combination:
Sometimes the low lighting of a reception dance floor makes for the perfect chance to capture the little moments all about the mood. I like the way the light is coming through Jade’s veil while also giving a silhouette look to the guests in the background. Sometimes just capturing the light as it is rather than artificially lighting the room for the shot gives the best look.
Andrea and Steve were married at Gold Lake Resort and Spa. What a beautiful backdrop for a wedding!
On this shot I love the look on Andrea’s face as she’s in the moment. The sparkling water backdrop isolates Andrea while the tops of the heads of those in attendance all add to the feeling and emotion.
You know that saying about how you should not go to the grocery store when you are hungry because you will buy things you might otherwise not have purchased? Well, I think there should be a saying about looking at photos of food when you are hungry.
Martine and Richard flew in from New York for their wedding at the JW Marriott. It was a blast!
I love to analyze photographs as well as other forms of art. Yes, I even analyze the photographs I take. There are lots of ways to define what makes a good photograph, and that definition will be different to different people. I always prefer the definition that says you can determine how good a photo is with a stopwatch. In other words, how much time do you spend looking at a particular photo, thinking about it, admiring it, etc. The more time you spend looking at a photograph, the more it probably means to you.
Well, this is one of my favorites, at least among those photos I’ve taken. What I love about this photo is the amount of emotion evident. Look at how many faces you can see all with excitement. You can just imagine (or see!) the excitement personally for each individual, and collectively as a group.
I participated in a fun workshop held by David Beckstead and attended by about a dozen other Denver photographers. We spent the day running around town capturing shots of a few models in various settings. It is always fun working without time constraints just focusing on coming up with something a little different. If you’ve been surfing the websites of other photographers don’t be surprised if these brides look familiar. They were models playing bride for the day. Thanks to Tessa, Jenn, and Krista – especially for putting up with all of us in the intense heat all day!
Renee and Mike were married at the beautiful and “very Colorado” Arrowhead Golf Club. Renee also wanted pictures with some architecture and a bit of fashion style to them (and I love that style too). We headed to Denver to for a post-wedding bridal session to get just that:
Renee and Mike were married at the beautiful Arrowhead Golf Club on the lucky day of 7-7-07. The conditions looked quite different than the engagement session we did earlier in the year at the nearby and snow-covered Roxborough State Park. The wedding was a blast, but WOW, the time just flew by. I always enjoy looking back over the photos from weddings and brining back the emotion and memories.
Teresa and Patrick had a beautiful wedding at the Lodge and Spa at Breckenridge. The weather was great with the heat not being as intense as it was in Denver. The blue sky was decorated with puffy white clouds as a nice backdrop over the mountains as the wedding unfolded.
Family and friends came in from all over the country. It was great meeting so many friendly people and being there to capture the day.
Here’s the highlight slideshow: (Click on it to play.)
Liana and Brady were married at Ellis Ranch in Loveland, Colorado. What better-named city is there for a wedding? For those that don’t know, Loveland has had a popular “re-mailing” program allowing people to mail their valentine through Loveland and have it stamped with the Loveland postmark.
Given that Ellis Ranch is, after all, a ranch, what better footwear than a nice set of boots (well, at least for a few photos):
I love getting shots like the one below. This is a shot of Brady’s parents holding hands during the wedding ceremony. Emotion can be shown through body language of all sorts. It is more than just the face:
